Dottori-Kun hardware emulator, "Dotri-Em" for GameCube Revision
1.0 by MooglyGuy zrah2@imail.etsu.edu
This program emulates the Dottori-Kun
arcade hardware that was produced by Sega. It normally runs a clone of the
Irem classic, Head-On, but due to copyright issues I instead coded my own
small demo that displays the gcdev.com logo and shows some small text describing
the arcade hardware's specifications.
For those who are curious, this
is the hardware: - 4MHz Z80 processor - 16 kilobytes of program ROM from
0x0000 to 0x4000 - 2 kilobytes of RAM from 0x8000 to 0x87FF, divided into
* 512 bytes of work RAM from 0x8600 to 0x87FF, and * 1.5 kilobytes of VRAM
from 0x8000 to 0x85FF, comprising a monochrome 128x96-pixel framebuffer with
8 pixels per byte. - 8 bits of digital input attached at Z80 input port
0. - Background/foreground color select attached to Z80 output port 0.
The program may choose one of 8 colors for the background and one of 8 colors
for the foreground.
